TEAM 17 is now part of the team?
We have some awesome news for you guys today. We can finally announce that we have partnered with Team 17 over in jolly 'ol England! These guys and gals have been making awesome games like Worms, Alien Breed, and Superfrog for over 25 years. Quite simply, they know their stuff. With their love and support we are more confident than ever that we can make Deadwood: The Forgotten Curse the game we've always wanted to make.
You've already seen some of the great things they can do for us. Just recently we combined our console stretch goals into one. This is something that wouldn't have been possible without them. They are here to support us in anyway we need. And the best thing about it is we didn't have to sell our souls! These guys aren't your everyday evil publishers. We will retain 100% ownership of the IP and full creative freedom. They just want Deadwood to be as awesome as we do.
Now let's finish strong! We have 7 days left and there's still some stretch goals we need to take care of. Let's do it guys!

PS4 and Xbox One Unlocked

Platform Clarification
Now that we have reached our Xbox One and PS4 stretch goal of $80k, let's talk about how you get it.
We've added a "console upgrade" option to our Add-On store. This will allow you to upgrade your Steam key to either XBOX One or PS4. Bonus: You get to keep your Steam key. The cost to upgrade is $5. This helps cover some of the cost levied on us by Microsoft and Sony to give out codes. Trust us, we wish we could give them away for free. When Kickstarter ends, everyone will be receiving a survey where you'll specify which console key you desire.
Backer Achievement Updates
Congrats on completing multiple Backer Achievements! We received some awesome fan art and tree huggin' photos this weekend AND broke 1500 Backers! Thank you all for your wonderful support!
We have unlocked my personal favorite Backer Goal...Rebel Alternative Rebel Skins. Onwards to the next one, and May the fourth be with you!
And if that wasn't good enough for you, we've also unlocked the Digital Art Book that will be available for everyone!

If you like games with dynamic duos (and you must since you backed Deadwood) then you'll LOVE the new game from our talented friends at Playtonic Games. They are reviving the platform genre with their Kickstarter project Yooka-Laylee.
These are the guys behind Banjo-Kazooie and Donkey Kong Country, so if you liked those you'll dig this. Check em out, they need help on their struggling Kickstarter. Just kidding, they're killing it.
New (and revised) Stretch Goals!

PS4 and Xbox One Together at last!
First up, we're very excited to announce that we are combining the PS4 and Xbox One stretch goals. Just over a thousand clams and we'll have unlocked BOTH consoles. How can we give you two consoles for the same low price? Well we have some more BIG news we'll be sharing next week.
Dungeons, Undergrounds and Caves... Oh My!
Replacing the former Xbox One slot at the 95k slot is something we're VERY excited about. Dungeons are a big part of RPGs and it's something we really want to put in the game. Imagine all the weird creatures you might encounter (ie: wooden mole rats). Something else you should know... Roguard is afraid of the dark, so these will be areas you can truly test your offensive abilities... alone.
New Backer Goals!
We teased the "Saw Mauler" yesterday, now you can check out all of the other new backer goals. Keep unlocking these guys, we've got even more awesome stuff coming down the pipe. Oh and here's a better look at the Saw Mauler in case you missed it yesterday.
